The primary objective of such an initiative is to make people with autism believe in themselves; to encourage, empathize, and ensure minds that need hope and help.

 

Located in a sprawling 54-acre institutional village in the outskirts of Kolkata, the autism center takes up around 7 acres of land to emerge as a place of assistance and learning for autistic kids and adults. The design approach took us through a journey of their world, understanding their apprehensions their susceptibility to overwhelming sensory traffic, and their way of understanding and identifying things. This project not only helps those in need but also us as designers as we learn to be more empathic and responsive to the users of our designed space.
